چکیده
This is an experimental work performed to identify the influence of direct contact condensation inside eductor. The fluid used in experiments water two different phases: liquid and vapor, for primary secondary flows, respectively. study was conducted attempt establish suitability eductor as a combined vacuum generator condenser membrane desalination applications. pressure temperature measurements at critical points flow paths have been summarized on saturation condensation. In addition, mechanism phase change has explained through photography two-dimensional A consistent oscillation gas-liquid interface observed during steady-state operations also contributes validation future computational research. It will provide baseline thermal analysis related mixing condensing non-condensing flow. general, research encompasses practical operational scenario provides information heat mass transfer with finite source.

Critical review of membrane distillation performance criteria
The number of published papers about membrane distillation (MD) has been growing exponentially and many evaluation and performance criteria are used to measure it; but, there is no established tradition or evaluation standard for them. This makes the evaluations difficult to compare, or even incomplete. This paper presents therefore a comprehensive critical review and clarification of the major...
متن کاملStudy on Commercial Membranes and Sweeping Gas Membrane Distillation for Concentrating of Glucose Syrup
In this work, sweeping gas membrane distillation (SGMD) process was used for concentrating of glucose syrup. The main questions in this work include: is SGMD process practical for concentrating of glucose solution prior the fermentation step in bioethanol process?. and are the commercially available hydrophobic membranes sufficient enough to develop the SGMD process in pilot scale for this issu...
متن کاملOn Designing of Membrane Thickness and Thermal Conductivity for Large Scale Membrane Distillation Modules
Membrane distillation has the potential to concentrate solutions to their saturation level, thus offering the possibility to recover valuable salts from the solutions. The process performance and stability, however, is strongly dependent upon the features of membranes applied. In addition, several other parameters, membrane thickness and thermal conductivity significantly affect the process per...
متن کاملThe Application of Membrane Distillation for Broth Separation in Membrane Bioreactors
The possibility of applying membrane distillation to support the fermentation process was investigated. The capillary polypropylene membranes were assembled in the membrane modules. The studies were carried out using the standard solutions containing the compounds frequently occurring in the broths such as ethanol, citric, acetic and lactic acids, glycerol and 1,3-propanediol. The performance o...
متن کاملMembrane Distillation for Water Recovery and Its Fouling Phenomena
The total volume of water on Earth is circa 300 million cubic miles, with close to 98.0% being salt water and the remaining 2.0% fresh water. It has been increasingly more challenging to harvest fresh water from surface water, seawater and even from wastewater due to the combination of factors, viz. burgeoning population growth, rapid industrialization and climate change. Recently, membrane dis...
